I attempted to introduce OBO structures in a large multinational, but swiftly realised it was not a viable option. As well as having challenges with the regulatory bodies in the large European countries, it was not going to be usable in the Eastern block & African entities. Far better to minimise banking partners & implement a dynamic pooling structure. You may not achieve the benefits of consolidating Payables & Receivables books, but you will get clarity of cash cycles & be in a strong position to manage liquidity.
